Located less than 25 miles from that bastion of US power, the White House, Gunpowder course is owned by the Milligan family. Take the I-95 to 198 West and at the second traffic light and turn left on Old Gunpowder Road. Go one mile and the course entrance is on the right.
Situated in Fairland Regional Park and founded in 1956, Gunpowder Pitch and Putt Course was designed to follow the natural topography of the land in the Scottish tradition. Following rolling hills, and bordered by trees on every hole, the course is a challenge for players of all skill levels. The course opened in 1956 and is the oldest course in Prince George's County.
Fairland Regional Park includes more than 150 acres of parkland that has been developed for recreational use. The Gardens Ice House is also located on this site. The park also includes four lighted softball fields, an imagination playground, and a stormwater management demonstration project area.
