EPPA/FIPPA President visits EU

Victor Moscatel visited Brussels recently

FIPPA President Victor Moscatel was invited to participate on the Erasmus + Sport information day in Brussels by the UFEC (Union of Catalan Sports Federation) - the FCPP are members. He accompanied 20 other Presidents of of sports federations in Catalonia. The group attended the Presentation of Erasmus + Sports 2017. Victor participated with a few questions and the staff of the event showed considerable interest in Pitch & Putt.  Victor plans to keep in contact with them and develop common projects. Victor also visited the European Parliament where he had a meeting with Santi Fisas, who is responsible for Sports at the EU. Santi Fisas a Catalan MEP and he will also help us to develop projects.

The Erasmus + Sport information day aimed to inform applicants about funding opportunities in 2017. 

The Sport Chapter in the Erasmus+ Programme aims to support European partnerships on grassroots sport in order to pursue the following objectives:

  • Tackle cross-border threats to the integrity of sport, such as doping, match fixing and violence, as well as all kinds of intolerance and discrimination;
  • To promote and support good governance in sport and dual careers of athletes;
  • To promote voluntary activities in sport, together with social inclusion, equal opportunities and awareness of the importance of health-enhancing physical activity, through increased participation in, and equal access to sport for all.

Focus is to be given to grassroots sport.
