Dutch Open 2021

Another victory for Rolf Kwant

Rolf Kwant won the 2021 Dutch Open, which was played at the Koekange course from August 20th-22nd. Kwant closed with a final round of 49 on Sunday to earn a two two stroke victory over Koekange clubmate Rinus Huberts who signed for a 48 on Sunday. Former winner Kwant posted a 54-hole aggregate of 21 under par 141 with Dutch international colleague Huberts second on 143. Remon de Groot (Rhoon) jumped up into third place on 48, courtesy of a fine 48 on Sunday.

Defending ladies champion Esther de Schiffart (Netherlands) saved the best for last with a final eighteen of 49 and retained the trophy with a three-round aggregate of 151. That left Esther eight clear of runner-up Herma Kleinlugtenbeld. Gillian Quanjers (Netherlands) took third place. Wichert Doppers maintained his outstanding form with a 52 on Sunday to take senior (over-55 honours) on ten under par overall, six clear of fellow Dutch player Mient Kobes. Ireland's Patrick Gaynor claimed third spot on level par.
