Australian Open 2015

Marc Fischer retains his title...

Defending champion Marc Fischer has retained the Australian Open. Elaine Scott won the ladies. Marc Fischer finished with a level par 72 hole aggregate of 216 at Wagga Wagga.  Marc carded Sunday scores of 54 and 53 to clinch his nine shot victory. James Rogerson (who finished two under par for Sunday play) was second on 225.  Tom Rickit placed third with 233.  Elaine Scott came from five strokes behind with final day rounds of 63 and 57 for an overall tally of 249. Ladies runner-up was Marion Kalis (one shot back) with Julie Richardson third on 253. 

Holder Marc Fischer took a two shot lead into the final day of the 2015 Australian Open at the Wiradjuri complex in Wagga Wagga.  Fischer scored rounds of 51 and 58 on Saturday for a one over par 36 hole total of 109.  That left Marc just ahead of 2013 winner Tom Rickit (53+58).  Julie Richardson led the ladies by two from Marion Kalis.
