European Team Championships
VIII Euro Teams Championship
22nd-24th June 2018, Urduña, Basque Country
Ireland's Tommy Hanley, the hero of the Strokeplay qualifying, holed the winning putt as the Irish were crowned European champions for the 6th time. The final result against Catalonia was 8.5 to 0.5, which means that Ireland went through the entire Matchplay stages without losing an individual match - the first time that's been achieved in European championship. Young Alex Albinana earned the Catalans only half-point in an excellent match against James Cleary. Final details
