35 degres C temperatures plus humidity for the second successive day at the West Palace Club for the inaugural Beijing Open. Two locals filled the first two places with Holland's Jenno Wolters third. Catalan Pilar Montero finished fourth and leading lady. Fang Ji Liang carded a final round 53 for a 54 hole aggregate of 166. That left the Chinese player a two shot winner over fellow Chinese Liu Yuan who had led into the last eighteen on 112.
FIPPA General Secretary Jose-Maria Anzizu, who attended the tournament says, "I believe it has been a very successful event to introduce Pitch and Putt in China. The prize (and gifts) giving ceremony was both formal and 'simpatica'."

36 holes are complete at the Beijing Open and the first day has been a big success. 34 players, in total, competed of which 24 represented FCPP, two from NPPB and the rest from China. The best results came from two Chinese players and Pilar Montero, so they will be the final group tomorrow. Full details will follow.
Unexpectedly high temperatures (35 degres C plus humidity) affected the results. The same temperature is expected for tomorrow. 18 holes will be played followed by the prize giving ceremony.
