FRENCH OPEN 2007 - Farrelly wins!
Ian Farrelly kicked off a full international season of Pitch and Putt successfully when he played strongly to win the 7th French Open at La Grande Motte.
After watching a flying, and course record breaking, start from Dutchman, Jan Tijhuis, Farrelly held steady through the heat of the afternoon to take the lead heading into the final round and played strongly to cruise to a comfortable victory over fellow Irishman, James Carroll, last years winner.
It was again an Irishman winning Pitch and Putt's most prestigious annual event, but the third different player in three years!
In the Ladies event, Irishwoman, Liz Quinn took the honours.
