Galicia Open
The 2023 Galicia Open was played at the Barbanza course on 2nd/4th June 2023. Ruben Garcia (Galicia) closed with an excellent six under par 48 (to add to his Saturday 50+52) to just edge out overnight leader Hugo Espirito Santo, who scored on Sunday, Daniel Fuentes took third spot on 154, on the final eighteen tiebreaker (51+53) from Alejandro Fernandez with José Manuel Caamano fifth. A 157 return scooped senior laurels for Jorge Sarmiento while Elena Isorna scored 178 to take the ladies award.

Hugo Espirito Santo took a two stroke lead into Sunday’s final round. Espirito Santo fired rounds of 47 and 52 on Saturday for a nine under par 36-hole tally of 99, which was two strokes better than Alejandro Fernandez, round in 51 and 50 on Saturday. Ruben Garcia was six under and José Manuel Caamano was -5, after a brilliant second round of 48.
