Ourense International Pairs
The Nacho Prada International Pairs was played at Ourense and Pozo do Lago on 5th/6th October. Victory went to Galician duo Teodoro Fernandez & Antonio Sanchez who combined for a Chapman Greensome tally of 47. That gave Fernandez & Sanchez a cumulative 142 (-20) and a two shot winning margin over Moises Iriarte & Esteban Rodriguez who scored three successive 48s. In third position were David Rodriguez & Mario Mujica who jumped up to 17 under par after a brillant 46 on Sunday.
Teodoro Fernandez & Antonio Sanchez were the overnight leaders on 13 under par 95. Fernandez and Sanchez scored 49 in Greensomes before shooting an excellent 46 in Fourball. Their lead was just one from Moises Iriarte & Esteban Rodriguez (48 in both Greensome and Fourball) who were on 96. In joint third place on -11 were Victor Rodriguez & Peter Mervin Henry, who signed for 50+ 47= 97 and Oscar & Alejandro Fernandez (49+48).
