  World Pairs Championship

The first ever World Pitch and Putt Pairs championship was played at the Tambre course in Sigueiro near Santiago de Compostella, Galicia, Spain from June 9/11, 2017. Conditions were tricky for Sunday's round of foursomes. Pacelli Darcy holed a short putt for birdie on the final green after a lovely Liam O'Donovan pitch to ensure victory by a shot for the 2014 Catalan International pairs champions. The Irish pair of O'Donovan and Darcy scored a very solid 50 in the foursomes and their overall tally of 31 under par 239 overhauled their Irish colleagues Tommy Hanley and Kieran Earls who had led by six into the final round. The reigning Catalan International Pairs champions will rue four dropped shots over the first nine of their closing 57. Jose Perez Saldana and Carles Perez Gelma (Catalonia) were third on 248 (-22).

Catalans Conchi Carballo and Enrique Jaen are World Mixed Pairs champions. It was a second international victory in a month for Enrique Jaen who captained Olympus 1 to the Iberian Teams Cup. Enrique and 2015 Andorra Open winner Conchi scored 55 on Sunday to post a 90 hole aggregate of 266. That ensured a three stroke win over the Dutch combination of Esther de Schiffart and Maurits Rangkouw, who led overnight on 210.
