Affoltern, Switzerland
Situated less than 20 kilometres from downtown Zurich, Affoltern Golfplatz & Bistro provides a memorable experience, set against the stunning backdrop of the Swiss Alps.
Longest hole and most difficult test at Affoltern is the 90 metre 7th (a straight away hole with a green protected front and left by sand) while the 40 metre 6th, which plays to a narrow green flanked by bunkers, is the shortest. Affoltern's No. 5 at 50 metres with sand front left is rated the second toughest hole on the layout. No. 6 is considered the easiest, albeit a brook guards the left of the fairway. The 80 metre 4th features a water hazard over the back of the green. The 9-hole parkland course is augmented by a practice range and practice putting green.
Affoltern am Albis is a town (population 12,000 and growing) and a municipality in the district of Affoltern in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland.
