Cill na Móna, Ireland
Cill na Móna is tree-lined Pitch and Putt course situated in rural Co. Clare near Ennis (Ireland's tidiest town), in the West of Ireland.
The Gaelic term Cill na Móna (in English Kilnamona) means "Church of the marsh" or "Church of the boggy field"
The 1st, at 55 metres and index 10, presents a straightforward opening at Cill na Móna, which was established in 1995.
Stone drains set forth an interesting hazard on this challenging layout.
Principal obstacle on the 47 metre Index 5 2nd hole is a bunker left of the green.
Beware the downhill 13th. Although rated a relatively high Index at 13, a stream awaits behind the 13th green to trap an overhit pitch shot.
Toughest hole at Cill na Móna is considered to be the 17th. The teeshot at this 61 metre Index 1 test must clear a stream, which guards the front and right of the green.
That stream dominates the middle of this picturesque course.
