Colina Park, CA, USA
Quite hilly and compact, Colina Park features elevated tee boxes and contoured greens, which must be found from mostly elevated teeboxes..
11 bunkers, two lakes and some waterfalls adorn this excellent layout, which is situated at City Heights, approximately seven miles from downtown San Diego.
The 54 yards 11th is the shortest hole on the course while a number of others (such as holes 6 and 16) measure up to the maximum FIPPA distance.
The 58 yard 17th plays over water as does the 56 yard opener.
Each hole bears the name of a noun that could be considered a characteristic of a Pitch and Putt player.
The Index 1 6th is termed Bravery while the 11th (Index 18) bears the sobriquet Responsibility. The second most difficult hole on the course (no. 16) calls for 'Fortitude' while 'Loyalty' will be rewarded on the Index 17 64 yard 7th.
Open to the public seven days a week, Colina Park, at 4085 52nd Street, is an alcohol-free and smoke free facility.
Established in 1954 and renovated in early 2003, Colina Park features lush fairways and perfectly maintained greens. The course plays somewhat more difficult than it first appears.
