La Garriga, Catalonia
This magnificent course, the first in Catalonia of the "Best Eighteen" type, evokes the best Par 3 golf holes from around the world.
From Barcelona, access the C17 (Autovía de l'Ametlla), and the Llerona exit. After the exit proceed towards the Sant Jordi shopping centre and pass behind. Then turn right towards Residencial Pinar de Rosanes. Continue straight until you reach the La Garriga course.
Longest hole on the Garriga EPPA course is the 81 metre 16th hole, which is modelled on the 11th on the St. Andrew's Old Course. The famous 7th hole at Pebble Beach is the inspiration for La Garriga's shortest test - the 4th, which measures 51 metres.
Garriga's Index 1 hole - the 63 metre 11th looks like the 17th at TPC Sawgrass. The 12th at Garriga is just 53 metres but may be just as difficult as the 15th on Portmarnock's historic links.
"Golden Bell" (the gorgeous 12th at Augusta National) is recreated in Garriga's 79 metre 7th hole.
La Garriga has regularly hosted FCPP competitions and Catalan championships.
There is a practice zone and plenty of coaching for young and older alike.
