Not too far from the E15 motorway (which links Girona and the Barcelona metropolitan area) lies Pitch and Putt Montseny. Montseny was founded in 1995 on a farm that dates from 1950. An ancient Roman bridge adds a touch of history to the property. The complex is conveniently located between Girona and Barcelona.
The course has a couple of artificial greens which have been approved by the FCPP. Surrounded by woods and nature, the layout is considered to be one of the best in Catalonia. The 1st at 89 metres is a difficult starting hole (Index 1). There's Out of Bounds left and right of the fairway and the green is completely flat. Leaving the fairway at the 82 metres 3rd (index) may risk entering the lake that protects the green. The green slopes slightly sloping from left to-right. The 13th measures 65 and is metres Index 18. The course's easiest (or least difficult) hole. Out of Bounds looms left. The green has a steep left to right slope. The Index 9 16th is 80 metres. There's a water hazard all the way along the right side of the fairway and a bunker guards the green front left. When the trees on the right are in full bloom they can prevent direct access to the green. The green slopes uphill slope from left to right.
Open all year round, Montseny features a Driving range (with 36 bays), Putting Green, changing facilities, Rental equipment, Golf Shop, Bar, Restaurant and ample parking. Course address is Crta. de Gualbas, s/n Finca de Can Cambo. Some accommodation is available on site.
Montseny has hosted many top class tournaments including the Catalan Strokeplay championship of 2009, which was won by the great Marc Lloret.
