Patrick's Pitch and Putt, Munster, Germany
In Munster, Germany, Patrick's Pitch and Putt was founded in 1992. The course is located in the Werse recreation area between St. Mauritz and Handorf and is within minutes of the city centre. Surrounded by mature trees, the 9-hole course and is ideal for both beginners and experienced golfers who want to improve their short game. The complex boasts spacious practice facilities with driving range (25 bays), putting green, practice bunker and pitching green.
The individual holes measure between 52 to maximum length. Judiciously placed bunkers and water hazards present a major challenge in accuracy.
The club-house provides the golfer with refreshments and small snacks while the pro-shop offers modern equipment.
Patrick's is a small friendly place that has great facilities to offer. Everything is really comfortable and the wooden benches and picnic tables outside afford an atmosphere better than any beer garden. The owners, the Heüveldop family and staff are welcoming hosts. Information and lessons are always available.
The 1st hole plays just 55 metres. A small bunker, right of the green, gobbles up many pitches. No. 2 features a little pond in front of the green, which lies 65 metres from the tee. The green is but 6 metres in diameter and bushes await behind.
The 4th stretches to maximum distance and is the longest hole on the course The adjacent corn field attracts many a slice.Water left of the green and lots of bushes protect Hole 5 which measures 80 metres.
They call the 52 metre No. 7 the 'tunnel' hole. It's the shortest hole on the course but it's oh so tricky. A fence, shrubs and trees form a narrow alley for the teeshot.
The long 8th affords just a view of the flag, not the green, from the tee while the final hole is 71 metres long with another pond behind the green.
