Rio Cabe, Galicia
The 9-hole course is located in Valle de Lemos, Galicia, and offers beautiful views across the river. Its impressive greens, the water hazards and the natural vegetation are highly suitable for improving one's short game.
Founded in Millennium Year 2000, Rio Cabe is a flat course with wide fairways and greens. The 73 metre 5th hole (with water fronting the green) is considered the most difficult hole on the course while the 16th (despite the unusual bunker guarding the green) is rated the most straightforward.
Tall trees come into play on the 3rd hole while a large bunker must be carried to make the 9th green.
Green Fees are a reasonable €12 for 18 holes.
Situated approximately 60 kilometres from Santiago de Compostela on the Camino of St. James, the complex also incudes extensive practice facilities - Driving Range (25 tees, 12 covered), Putting Green, Pitching Green, Chipping Green and Practice bunker.
