Tarudhan Valley, India
Approximately 50 kilometres from New Delhi and not far from the city of Gurgaon (Gurugram) lies a new Pitch and Putt destination.
Tarudhan was born from the philosophy of Taru, the resilient Soma Tree, which, according to legend, watched over and guided proud, free-spirited people many years ago. One day, Taru led them home—to the heart of its friend, the majestic Aravali hills. Delighted to welcome kindred spirits, Aravali invited them to settle where Taru cast its shade. Having reached the end of their journey, they proudly named their new home Tarudhan. Today, Tarudhan Valley Resort embodies this spirit of belonging, harmony, and excellence.
Conveniently located with direct access to National Highway 48, the resort offers an exceptional blend of championship Pitch and Putt, luxurious hospitality and modern recreational facilities.
Some of the holes feature links-styled terrain, with large rolling greens Other holes are parkland tests - the first of which (the fourth) requires a teeshot flighted across water. Finally, the course finishes with two exceptional Mediterranean-styled holes. Fairways are relatively wide although shaded by tall trees. Greens are large and most are protected by tricky sand traps.
The orchard trees, water, sandy areas, rocky outcrops and clusters of colorful shrubs add massively to this impressive layout, host to the inaugural India international Open (2026).
Designed by internationally acclaimed Canadian architect Graham Cooke (a five-time Canadian Amateur Champion) and constructed by Silverglades Group in 2007, the beautifully-crafted course is overlooked by studio apartments, villas and a hotel. . Renowned for his classic design philosophy and environmentally sensitive approach, Cooke has created a course that balances strategic challenge with enjoyable playability. An imaginative layout results in a course (inspired by locations such as St. Andrews, Royal Troon, Valderrrama and Pebble Beach) where drama, excitement, and memorable experiences come naturally. The course is maintained by SGDC India Pvt. Ltd., ensuring the highest standards of course presentation and play.
A café, gym, sauna and childrens play area all augment this wonderful set-up. The elegant and spacious Clubhouse features an outstanding range of leisure, recreational, and food & beverage offerings, complemented by a Health Club and Swimming Pool.
Nestled amidst the picturesque Aravali mountain ranges, the course is approximately a one-hour drive from Delhi International Airport.
Players can also take advantage of the 250-yard Golf Driving Range, where practice is enjoyed from natural grass.
Further strengthening its position as one of India's premier destinations, Tarudhan Valley Resort has been selected as the host venue for the India International Pitch & Putt Open, to be held in November 2026.
In preparation for this prestigious international championship, the resort is developing a dedicated 18 Hole Pitch & Putt course in accordance with the specifications and standards prescribed by the Indian Pitch and Putt Association (IPPA). Scheduled for completion by August 2026, the new course is being designed to meet international standards and provide an outstanding competitive environment for players from around the world. The purpose-built Pitch & Putt course will showcase the precision, creativity and strategic shot-making that define the sport while complementing the resort's existing championship golf facilities.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Aravali Hills, it will offer competitors an exceptional playing experience supported by world-class hospitality, practice facilities and modern amenities.
For players, officials, and visitors participating in the India International Pitch & Putt Open, Tarudhan Valley promises far more than a tournament venue - it offers an unforgettable sporting destination where championship competition meets outstanding hospitality.
