Thalwil, Switzerland
Located little more than 10 kilometres from downtown Zurich and situated close to the lakeshore town of Thalwil, Golf Park Thalwil is an excellent 9-hole Pitch and Putt course.
Switzerland's A3 motorway, which links Basle, Zurich and Chur passes nearby the course.
The course features just three greens but clever use of strategically placed teeing areas make for a challenging nine-holer.
The first (at the maximum distance) is considered Thalwil's most difficult hole. Easiest hole is deemed to be the 9th at just 50 metres.
The nursery to the left of the 1st, 4th and 7th holes is adjudged to be a lateral water hazard. Avoid that and there's a large bunker to contend with. Out of Bounds looms long and left on the 2nd, 5th and 8th (which are also protected by sand) while over the hedge behind the 3rd, 6th and 9th greens is also Out of Bounds.
Other facilities at Thalwil include a driving range, lessons, along with pitching, chipping and putting practice greens.
Telephone the Thalwil course at +41 43 443 5000.
Course address is Bodenstrasse 21, 8800 Thalwil, Switzerland.
Thalwil typically closes during November and March for a winter break.
The complex is owned and operated by qualified PGA professional Hans Henrik Sando.
