Situated just off the Bellpuig to Ivars road in the Catalan province of Lleida is the Urgell, Bellpuig course.

 

Located less than 40 kilometres from the Lleida course, Urgell has hosted many of the top Catalan events, including the 2020 Catalan Mixed Pairs championship.

 

Among the facilities at Urgell are a Driving range, Putting green, Approach area, Bunker area, Golf shop, coaching and Cafeteria.

 

The 83 metre Index 1 13th is the most difficult hole on the course. The tee shot must be threaded along a fairway that is guarded by lots of tall trees. The ideal trajectory is a high pitch over the trees. A low punch shot is also possible but that may render it tricky to stop the ball on the green. Out of Bounds lurks to the left of and behind the green. A yawning chasm of a high bunker protects the right side of the green. 

 

The 5th, which measures 56 metres and is Index 18, presents one of the shortest holes on the course. However, the pitch, depending on where the flag is, must be very precise. The green is small and wide and is protected by two bunkers, one that covers the entire back and the other the left half of the green. Just beyond the back bunker flows a stream, which is marked with red stakes. Out of Bounds looms on the right hand side of the fairway.

 

Number 7 is also relatively short but plays sharply downhill over a pond, with more water lurking behind the sloping green. Urgell's second hole is the longest on the course. There is Out of Bounds on the right although it should not come into play. The green is quite wide but is guarded by sand, front right, back left and back right.
