Argentina v Chile
Six stroke victory for Argentina over Chile in Buenos Aires..
Argentina beat Chile in the first leg of the international match between Argentina and Chile in Buenos Aires on 29 - 30 April. The home side totalled 476 strokes for their eight best scores against 482 for their Chilean visitors. That gives Argentina temporary possession of the Friendship Cup in advance of the return match in Santiago.

On Saturday at the Las Lajas course, Argentina totalled 533 for their eight best scores. That gave the home team a slender four stroke lead heading into Sunday's final round at the Banco Provincia layout.
However, the overall result was determined by the eight best 18 hole gross scores per team over the entire weekend, Saturday and Sunday.
Best individual scores on Saturday were returned by Argentina's Oscar Caserta (60) and Chile's Juan Moran (60). On Sunday, Hector Moran was round in 54 for Argentina, while Christobal Andrade totalled 55 for the visitors. Special guest Sergio Murthino (Ecuador) impressed with a level par return at Banco Provinicia.
The Federazione Chilena de Pitch and Putt (FChPP) is committed to spreading our sport across South America and beyond.The match is another step towards ultimately setting up a South American Pitch and Putt Association. The return leg of the match will be played in November in Santiago. During a very successful weekend, representatives from Chile, Argentina and Ecuador signed the Acuerdo de Buenos Aires, which paves the way for further co-operation.

From the 18 players allowed per country, the eight best scores from this match, added to the eight best in the rematch in November, will determine the winning team. There will also be individual prizes.
