Bernard Dinnat retires
Tributes paid to an outstanding CPPF President
FIPPA and EPPA would like to pay tribute to Bernard Dinnat, who is retiring after many productive years as President of Comité de France Pitch and Putt (CPPF).
Bernard was non-playing Captain of France Teams at 2007 European Team Championship and 2008 World Cup before becoming President of CPPF in 2012.
Untiring in his effort to promote Pitch and Putt in France and internationally, Bernard was involved with many French teams at the Quadrangular/Five Nations matches.
Looking at the FIPPA Handicap system, CPPF has 3,924Players. 2,135 Competitions have been played with 29,894 Scorecards.
This data demonstrates the strides that Pitch and Putt has made in France while Bernard was President of the CPPF.
In his statement, Bernard says, "I have been aware, for a while, of no longer embodying the future of Pitch and Putt in France. Having reached the age where bishops are relieved of their duties and where in France one can no longer preside over an Olympic sports federation, I am retiring! In sport and friendship, Bernard."
Bernard has no plans to cease playing Pitch and Putt. He will remain closely involved with the sport in his local area of Toulouse. We wish him well.
