Affoltern, 24 August 2025 – Last Sunday, the 2025 Swiss Pitch & Putt Championship was held at the Affoltern Pitch & Putt course. 

 

With 36 players, the field of participants was stronger than it has been in years – a welcome sign for the development of pitch & putt as a sport in Switzerland.

 

In the men's competition, Janik Gattlen (Pitch&Putt Uri) secured the Swiss championship title with a total score of 103 strokes (rounds 51/52). This is Janik Gattlen's second championship title after 2021, having won silver in 2022, 2023 and 2024 and bronze in 2016. Sascha Galbiati followed in second place, celebrating his second Swiss Championship medal after winning bronze in 2023. Giovanni Volentik made it onto the podium for the first time at a Swiss Championship with third place.

 

In the women's competition, Gabriela Gyr (Pitch&Putt Affoltern) celebrated her first podium finish with 109 strokes, winning the Swiss championship title. Isabelle Grösch (City Golf Basel) followed in second place, winning another medal after two titles in 2022 and 2023. Olga Schnüriger (Pitch&Putt Uri) completed the podium in third place – her third podium finish in a row after silver in 2023 and 2024.

 

The championship was characterised by exciting duels, fair competition and enthusiastic support from the audience. The high number of participants and strong performances show that pitch & putt is continuing to grow in popularity in Switzerland.
