Fernando Morgado Trophy - Chile Qualifying Round

Huerta, Ramirez, Moraga and Ogaz make team

The fianl round of the qualifying tournament to decide another four Chilean players to join the South America team to play Europe in the Fernando Morgado Trophy took place at the Aconcagua course on 20th January. Alejandro Huerta signed for scores of 54 and 50 to lead the four qualifiers. Claudio Ogaz scored 56 and 53 for a 109 aggregate, which clinched his berth.

The opening round of the qualifying tournament took place at the Aconcagua course on 6th January. Guillermo Ramirez scored rounds of 51 and 55 = 106 to lead by three from Alejandro Moraga.  With players entitled to select their best score from either 6th or 20th January, Guillermo and Alejandro have also made the team.

Chilean Strokeplay champion Cristobal Andrade and Gustavo Cortèz, the Federation Cup winner have already been chosen as the first two Chilean representatives on the South American team for Puerto Velero.
