Ireland's Kieran Earls triumphs by one

A brilliant nine under par final round of 45 gave Kieran Earls (Ireland) a one stroke win. Earls signed for an overall 54 hole aggregate of 140 (-22). Alejandro Esmatges tied on 141 with Catalan colleague Joel Girbau, Esmatges getting runners-up slot courtesy of his Sunday 47. Tommy Hanley (Ireland) claimed fourth spot on 19 under (after a final round of 48) ahead of Catalans Albert Girones and Oriol Mas. Josep Ramon won the John Manning Trophy (Seniors event) while the Pilar Montero Trophy (Ladies) went to Catalan Marta Cucurull.

Joel Girbau took a one stroke lead into Sunday's final round at Lleida. Girbau fired earlier rounds of 49 and 45 for a fourteen under par aggregate of 14 under par 94. Tied second on 95 were a couple of Irishmen, Thomas Hanley (49+46) and Kieran Earls (48+47) along with Alejandro Esmatges (Catalonia) who posted 48 and 47 in rounds one and two. Three more Catalans shared fifth spot on 98 - Lluis Cucurull, Albert Girones and Oriol Mas.
