Award for Martin Whitelaw in Catalonia

Former EPPA/FIPPA Secretary General honoured

Former EPPA/FIPPA Secretary General Martin Whitelaw was honoured by the Catalan Association of Sports Leaders at a lavish function in Barcelona in February 2023.

Martin, who founded Pitch and Putt in Catalonia, was honoured at the Sports Directors Night, in recognition of hois work as designer and manager of Catalonia's first Pitch and Putt course Solius.

Irish native Martin, who has lived in Catalonia for most of his adult life, was the first President of the Associacio Catalana de Pitch and Putt in the 1990s, before becoming Secretary/General of EPPA/FIPPA in 2010, a psoition he held with distinction for seven years.
