More on Club de Regatas with Pedro Pablo Vidal (Chile)
Enthusiastic player Pedro Pablo Vidal was one of a sizeable cohort that made the trip from Chile to Peru to contest the latter country's first ever international tournament at Club de Regatas, Lima. Here are Pedro's thoughts on that event.
Q. What is your opinion of the new course?
A. The course is professionally designed, by somebody from Mexico that came to the awards lunch the last day .Very well done, with the difficulties that makes it a non easy one for the beginners, but a challenge for the advanced players. Many water ponds are a major hassle and distances tha vary from 40 to 65 yards with 2 Tees each hole, makes it an 18 Holes. Nice course.
Q. Did the tournament format suit you?
A. The three-day tournament was great, I enjoyed it very much, also considering that on Saturday we played two full 18 holes rounds .
Q. The resort is impressive?
A. The Accommodations are superb, as the apartments are fully equipped with all kitchen wares for the stay. Also the swimming pools and the beach are at walking distance.. For supplies, whether food or others, there is a small supermarket in the premises at convenient prices.
Q. It's not just about Pitch and Putt at Club de Regatas?
A. No. There are Swimming pools, a Gym by the beach, other football and bolleyball pitches as well as tennis courts.
Q. The Chileans travelled in force?
A. The Chilean delegation numbered 24 players and we spent five days at the resort,
