Enhorabuena por tu victoria en el Galicia Open. ¿Qué aspectos de su juego le agradaron durante el fin de semana?
Muchas gracias por su enhorabuena. Los aspectos que más me agradaron en mi juego durante el fin de semana, fueron la consistencia y que estuve competitivo en todo momento.
¿Te decepcionó disparar uno sobre par en la segunda ronda?
Claro que me decepcionó el +1 de la segunda ronda, pero por otro lado me motivó para poder corregir algunos errores y afrontar la tercera vuelta mucho mejor.
¿Sabías cómo les estaba yendo a tus rivales más cercanos?
Tenía en todo momento la posibilidad de ver cómo iban mis rivales, gracias a la aplicación, pero no quise verlo. Solo me limitaba a hacer un buen resultado para llegar a lo más arriba en el absoluto. Eso me llevó a hacer sexto en el absoluto y primero en el senior.
51 fue el segundo mejor puntaje conjunto de la ronda final, ¿eso debe haberte complacido?
Claro que me gustó hacer 51 en la última ronda, aunque si le soy sincero hice un 5 en el hoyo 16 y eso me decepcionó un poco.
¿Fue difícil jugar el campo?
Llevó jugando a este deporte unos 25 años, he jugado por muchos campos de toda Europa y sin lugar a dudas es uno de los campos más bonitos.
Con respecto a su dificultad es un campo exigente pero justo y tienes que permanecer concentrado en cada golpe.
Este no es su primer buen resultado en un Abierto Internacional. ¿Cuánto disfrutas del Pitch and Putt internacional?
La verdad es que como le comentaba, después de 25 años, he jugado muchos Opens Internacionales y por supuesto que disfruto mucho. Este deporte me da calidad de vida, me hace conocer lugares y sobretodo tener muchos amigos. Me gustaría dedicarle este campeonato a la memoria de Nacho Prada.
Habiendo jugado el año pasado, ¿está decepcionado de no ser miembro del equipo de Galicia para el Cuadrangular Internacional 2023?¿Te decepcionó disparar uno sobre par en la segunda ronda?
He jugado casi todos los Cuadrangulares y por supuesto que estoy decepcionado. No quiero extenderme demasiado en esta pregunta por razones personales, ya que igual me arrepiento luego de lo que diga.
Congratulations on your victory at the Galicia Open. What aspects of your game did you like over the weekend?
Thank you very much for your congratulations. The aspects that I liked the most in my game during the weekend were the consistency and that I was competitive at all times.
Were you disappointed to shoot one over par in the second round?
Of course the +1 in the second round disappointed me, but on the other hand it motivated me to be able to correct some mistakes and face the third round much better.
Did you know how your closest rivals were doing?
I had the possibility at all times to see how my rivals were doing, thanks to the application, but I didn't want to see it. I only limited myself to getting a good result to get to the top in the absolute. That led me to do sixth in the absolute and first in the senior.
51 was the joint second best score of the final round, - that must that have pleased you?
Of course I liked shooting 51 on the last round, but to be honest I hit a 5 on the 16th hole and that was a bit disappointing.
Did you find the course difficult?
I have been playing this sport for about 25 years, I have played on many courses throughout Europe and without a doubt it is one of the most beautiful courses.
Regarding its difficulty, it is a demanding but fair course and you have to stay focused on each shot.
This is not your first good result in an International Open. How much do you enjoy international Pitch and Putt?
The truth is that as I was telling you, after 25 years, I have played many International Opens and of course I really enjoy it. This sport gives me quality of life, it makes me see places and, above all, have many friends. I would like to dedicate this championship to the memory of Nacho Prada.
Having played last year, are you disappointed not to be a member of the Galician squad for the 2023 International Quadrangular?
I've played almost every one of course I'm disappointed. I don't want to go too long on this question for personal reasons, since I may regret what I say.
